Underage and Pregnant on BBC Three

Ok so this is something that has grabbed my attention with me wanting to work with Pregnant teenagers when im odler.

Its a series following two girls on each episode, and how they are and settling into motherhood. The forst episode was about to twin girls who both got pregnant. Charlotte got pregnant at 14 and had a little boy called Kenzie, and then her twin sister got pregnant at fifteen and had her baby boy oscar just afetr christmas. Then the second episode was about two girls called Kim and Jasmine. Jasmine had her baby half way through the episode, and it took her six weeks to get through post natal depression :( and Kim hasd a 8 month old daughter called Heidi and she showed how much she loves her daughter.

Now in the press and media, they show statistics of how many teenagers fall pregnant every year and I hate the papers I think there full of absolute shit. So the press also say that England and is the country in Europe that has the most statistics for girls who are fallnig pregnant. And I think that the papers pratically discriminate these mothers for carrying their child for nine months and for deciding not to abort the baby. Well these girls on these two episodes (because the rest havnt been shown yet) all have qualifications, one of them is donig a degree in journalism and one is gonig to be a police woman.

And to be honest these girls show that even though having a baby at 15, they are still trying there absolute best to care for their child, and these girls are obviously getting pregnant at young ages, and they have to make a big life decision of do they keep it or do they get rid of it, and these girls have decided to carry on carry a crate of weight for nine months which to me I think it very brave and very good. So I think we should support teenage mums a bit more because they are giving someone else a life and are trying their best for caring for a newborn baby, there the ones that strain themselves up at three in the morning, and change dirty nappies. And i have been a witness of a friend who has had a baby, and she did get a bit stressed at nine months carrying a lump, but now her baby girl is three months and she doesnt regret anything.

SUPPORT TEENAGE MUMS!!!!!!!!

  1. Yeah, good for you. And anyway, dosen't it take TWO people to make a baby?! But as always the boys are just getting off scott free and it is the girls, who are the ones who do all the work, who are getting all the blame!
I was nearly a teenage Mum and it was the best thing I ever did. It made me a much better person and it taught me a lot about real love.
